Natus Vincere have formally unveiled Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov as the newest member of their Counter-Strike squad.

The Russian player joins Na`Vi in a deal that sees veteran Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev link up with Winstrike on loan, becoming the CIS giants’ first signing in 18 months, since Denis “electronic” Sharipov was recruited from FlipSid3 in November 2017.

Boombl4 made his breakthrough in 2017 when he signed with EPG at a time when he was virtually unknown. The core of that squad went on to join Quantum Bellator Fire, who would raise eyebrows at the beginning of 2018 with a playoff run at ELEAGUE Major Boston after coming through the CIS Minor.

“I am grateful to Natus Vincere and the players for this opportunity,” Boombl4 told Na`Vi’s website. “I will give it my all every game, every tournament, no matter what. There’s lots of work to be done, thanks to fans for the support.

“I won’t be talking big, I am used to letting my actions speak for me, not words”.

Natus Vincere will hope that the change will breathe some life into a team that has won just one title this year, at StarSeries i-League Season 7. After that event, Na`Vi placed fifth and fourth at the BLAST Pro Series events in Miami and Madrid, respectively, with the final straw coming last week, when they failed to qualify for the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals after losing to North and Heroic in the second group stage.

Edward, one of the members of the original Na`Vi lineup, created in 2009, was the longest-standing member of the team before this roster change. During his almost 10 years of service – only briefly interrupted in 2013 when he represented the Astana Dragons -, he helped the team to become a dominant force in 1.6 in 2010 and 2011, and also to pick up several international titles in CS:GO, entering the top 20 player of the year list on three separate occasions (2010, 2011 and 2013).

The new Na`Vi lineup will have a whole month to gel before making its first appearance, at ESL One Cologne, where it will have the added pressure of being the defending champion.

With these changes, Na`Vi now have:

Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko
Egor “flamie” Vasilyev
Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev
Denis “electronic” Sharipov
Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov

Mikhaylo “Kane” Blagin (coach)

Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov (born December 20, 1998) is a Russian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. He currently plays as rifler for Natus Vincere.
