For several years, FaZe Clan’s CS:GO squad has been the very definition of a super-team – being a future hall-of-famer, if not a former world number one player, was practically a requirement to join.
The team has rarely lived up to its billing, however, and more recently they’ve moved to a different approach, signing young, unproven talent in the form of Broky and Aurimas ‘Bymas’ Pipiras.
Even compared to his fellow youngster, however, Bymas is a total newcomer to elite competition. At just 16 years old, he’d never even competed against a top-30 ranked team before slotting in alongside the likes of NiKo and Coldzera, some of the game’s most legendary names.
Just how did such an unproven youngster earn a chance among such titans? And how has his addition actually led to the strongest form from FaZe that the team has seen in a long while? We’ve taken a look at FaZe’s latest experiment with one of Counter-Strike’s most intriguing rookies.
