S1mple has smashed the CSGO record for Aces, single handedly eliminating the entire G2 team 4 times during their match at IEM Cologne.
S1mple has long been considered the best CSGO player in the world, but his record breaking performance this weekend stunned even his biggest fans. No one had ever gotten 4 aces in a major event, but s1mple went and did exactly that while his team went on to sweep G2 for the title.
S1mple has tallied so many aces, that even Shroud, who was co-streaming the event on Twitch, couldn’t keep track of them. And After seeing s1mple rack up his 4th ace of the event, an impressed Shroud just said “He’s awake. He’s wide awake. I don’t think I’ve ever been that awake in my life.” Shroud also watched in awe as s1mple clutched a 3v1 with an series of effortless no scopes to win a crucial map just minutes later.
S1mple went on to finish the event with a staggering 1.51 player rating, one of the highest of his entire impressive CSGO career. With s1mple playing some of the best CSGO of his life, and setting new records that may never be broken, his first Major win may be just months away.
