Maikil ‘Golden’ Selim has been Sweden’s most successful In-Game-Leader of the last two years. He had a strong opening year with Fnatic’s main roster, netting them tournament wins at events like the WESG 2017 World finals and IEM Katowice 2018.
However, a shock removal from the Swedish organization in June 2018 outcast the young captain to a year of stagnation, in which he led various Cloud9 rosters without much success. However, Golden’s departure from Fnatic caused such a decline in the side’s performance that they returned and asked him to take the reigns once more in September 2019.
Upon his return, Fnatic’s results improved drastically. This is the story of Golden and his turbulent journey with the Fnatic organization.
