Former CSGO Coach HUNDEN is being sued by Heroic, his former team, for allegedly sharing his team’s strategies with opponents before a major event.
CSGO coach HUNDEN is no stranger to controversy, having just come off of a long ban from competitive coaching for abusing the spectating bug during CSGO events, but now he is actually being sued for breach of contract by Heroic, the org that stuck by him during that long ban.
Heroic says they fired HUNDEN for sharing confidential team strategies, known as their strat book, to their opponents before IEM Cologne 2021. While the opponents he allegedly gave the strat book to are not named, it was rumored that Astralis was looking to bring HUNDEN on as coach with Zonic reportedly looking to leave the org, so it is possible they could have been the recipient. Regardless of who allegedly received the strat book, Heroic is now suing their former coach for what they call a “Clear breach of contract”, and the rumors of an Astralis move appear to be on hold for now.
HUNDEN took to twitter to deny the claims, saying that he only shared “Anti-strat” materials with opponents, and that this all revolves around his contract renewal negotiations breaking down. The ESIC is waiting on the legal issue to resolve before hitting HUNDEN with any more sanctions or punishments, but luckily it appears no opponents actually read through HUNDEN’s strat book, so IEM Cologne’s integrity remains intact.
