Throughout the many ups, downs, and roster changes that make up the FaZe CS:GO story, there has been only one constant: Håvard’ Rain’ Nygaard.
Rain’s path to the top wasn’t always an obvious one. Norway doesn’t have quite the same pedigree as its fellow Scandinavian countries, Sweden and Denmark. Where they have each produced multiple elite teams over the course of CS:GO, only a few elite players have come out of Norway.
While Rain played with several of the other top prospects from his home country earlier in his career, this meant that to truly reach his potential, he had to go international. He found his opportunity with Kinguin, the first sqaud to demonstrate the possibility of international line-ups, and which ultimately became the FaZe CS:GO team.
Much has changed since that first iteration, but Rain has been there through it all. This is the story of how Rain became FaZe Clan’s rock.
