Not so long ago, Team Liquid was the best CS:GO team in the world.
After years of struggling to find their place, churning through players like s1mple, Hiko and steel, Liquid found a roster that clicked like never before and bulldozed through their competition. They had the dream team: Stewie2k, EliGE, Twistzz, NAF and nitr0.
They won the IEM Grand Slam in record time by winning four straight ESL events, became the number one ranked team in the world. They were unstoppable. They were juggernauts. They were on track to win the Berlin Major.
And then, they slowly collapsed. All of a sudden they were losing to Astralis over and over. And after falling to second, they started losing to more teams. Weaker teams. Eventually, they fell down the rankings just as fast as they rose.
But fans will always remember the incredible era they created. And they’re willing to fight to bring it back.
